TRADITIONAL CLIMBING Course

In 2026 we are running our popular 2-day course on 5 different occasions early summer. 2 times on a weekend and 3 times on weekdays. The priced is slightly reduced on weekdays. It's possible to run the course in English if you are a group of at least 3 friends Dates: May: 21-22. June: 6-7. - 11-12. - 18-19. - 27-28. August: To be announced.

This is a basic rock climbing course on traditional gear, aka "trad course". For those who dream of Stetind or Ersfjordtraversen, this is the perfect start to your journey. You'll learn about climbing on natural gear, gear placements, belays and how to work together as a team. And, as important, how to safely descend steep walls on rappell. The course is held on Kvaløya. There's a maximum of 4 students per instructor to ensure good communication, learning environment and safety. Participants will have to organize their own transportation. Minimum age is 16. Prerequisite: Brattkort or equivalent belay card. Time:  5-6 hours practice per day + transportation. Gear: You will need a harness, climbing shoes, helmet and a rope. Price: 3100 Nok on the weekend, 2750 Nok on weekdays.
